A High rank official in the ministry of Immigrants and displaced, revealed in Baghdad that the number of Iraqis, who abandoned their houses and areas, registered their names as refugees with the government reached 80 thousands Iraqis. That means the total number of ethnically cleansed people reached a quarter a million.
Hamdia Ahmed Najaf, minister deputy said yesterday “Ministry statistics indicated that around quarter a million Iraqis left their homes because the security deterioration and receiving death threats if not leaving” . She added “ Ministry opened 15 branches in Iraq to look after those who are displaced from Baghdad, Al-Anbar and Salah Uldaen provinces to other provinces” indicating that “The displaced ones are from all Iraqi components, Shia , Sunnis, Kurds, Christians and Yazidis”
Mrs Najaf clarified “We have an agreement with Iraqi Red Crescent to supply 300 000 food baskets to be distributed 10 baskets to each family which we pay 600000USD. Unfortunately, Red Crescent disappointed us by distributing 20000 baskets and the try failed”.
The deputy clarified” The sectarianism dictate the given aid and help, Shia helping Shia and Sunnis helping Sunnis. Even the president of Sunni charitable inheritance office did not meet us or visiting the camps or contribute to maintain them”
She said” Our teams can not reach some areas due to deteriorated security situation. Armed groups assassinated number of our employees and set fires in our offices and threatened other which prevent us from given complete and accurate statistics of the number of the forced immigrants”
